Steve Gebhardt has been with MUY Brands LLC since 2012 currently serving as Vice President of Operations for the company’s Taco Bell Restaurants located throughout the Northeast.
Mr. Gebhardt brings with him over 25 years of restaurant and business experience. He was retained in 1985 by Park Avenue Development Group of Morristown NJ to develop restaurant concepts for their various real estate holdings. He designed and opened such concepts as Deli on the Green and Great American Hot Dog in the Willowbrook Mall, Chicago Charlie’s Pan Pie Pizza in Springfield NJ, and Gabriella’s at the Brielle Yacht Club in Brielle NJ.
Mr. Gebhardt became Vice President of Operations of the company’s Burger King Division where he served as operating partner. He helped expand the organization’s Burger King Division through new store development and acquisition of company stores. He was licensed in real estate in the state of New Jersey and has taken numerous courses on restaurant site selection.
In 1994 he left to become a franchisee of Restaurant Systems International whose brands included Everything Yogurt and Salad Café, South Philly Steak and Fries, and Bananas Frosty Fruit Shakes. After opening his first 5 locations, his services were retained by the parent company to act as a consultant. His locations were utilized as training facilities for all incoming prospective franchisees. He redesigned all of the concepts to ensure better flow and ergonomic layout as well as wrote the Operational Manual for their South Philly Steak concept. He was elected and served as president of the Franchise Advisory Council for 3 years.
He joined El Rancho Foods in 2003 where he served as Senior Operations Leader. He was responsible for the overall operational direction and administration of this Taco Bell franchise consisting of 100 locations throughout the Northeast. While under his leadership El Rancho Foods became nationally recognized for their superior operations taking home the Big 12 Operators “Award of Excellence” four years in a row. This culminated in being presented Taco Bell’s prestigious “Glen Bell Award” at the national convention in 2011 for the nation’s top franchisee. Steve was retained by MUY Brands LLC as part of their acquisition of El Rancho Foods in December of 2012.
